Support Engineer Job description 

 

As a Support Engineer, you will own complex operational tasks, troubleshoot intricate system issues, and contribute to process improvements across our fintech ecosystem. You are the go-to person for operational excellence and a key link between technical teams and business users.

Key Reponsibilities: 

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including system outages and integration errors. 
  • Identify root causes, implement preventive solutions, and track recurring issues. 
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and business teams to improve system reliability and optimize workflows. 
  • Assist with deployment, environment setup, and release management. 
  • Document processes, maintain runbooks, and update technical guides. 
  • Drive operational improvements by identifying gaps, suggesting enhancements, and implementing changes. 
  • Support internal teams and customers in resolving critical technical issues. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Experience: 3-year in IT operations, production support, or enterprise application support. 
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting, monitoring tools, and incident management. 
  • Technical Skills: 
  • Proficient in SQL and NoSQL for data querying and manipulation. 
  • Experience in MS Excel; able to use advanced functions and perform data analysis. 
  • Familiarity with system monitoring tools (e.g., Greylog) is a plus. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
